Cozymates

Cozymates Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Cozymates for Android (package ID: kr.ai.aaa.cozymates, version 0.1.0), provided by AAA Corp. Cozymates helps you track habits with fictional characters. Conversations use prewritten content assembled on your device; they are not chats with other users. No account or external AI service is required.

1. Scope and service

2. Information processed on your device

The app stores your chosen name, habits, goals, schedules, buddy and plans, check-in dates, quantities, study time, small-practice status, notes and proof photos, conversation choices and reactions, rooms, notification and appearance settings, and local usage and notification diagnostic events. These support habit tracking, story progression, notifications, widgets, backup, restoration and troubleshooting. The app does not automatically send these records to AAA Corp. or third-party servers. Optional weather conversations use internet access. The app includes no advertising, analytics, automatic crash-reporting or billing SDK.

3. Photos and permissions

Only photos you select through the Android photo picker are read. The app saves resized JPEG copies in its private storage without retaining the original EXIF location metadata; originals remain unchanged. It does not request access to your entire photo library. Approximate location permission is requested only if you enable weather conversations. Notification permission enables character messages and habit reminders. Optional alarms and reminders access enables timely delivery. You can continue using records and conversations without these permissions, although notifications may be absent or delayed. Scheduled notifications are restored after a restart. Permissions can be changed in Android settings.

4. Backup, restoration and sharing

ZIP backups contain restoration data including your name, habits, notes, proof photos, rooms, conversation choices, reactions, settings and diagnostic events. Backups are not encrypted: anyone with access to a file can read its contents. You choose the destination using the system file picker. A cloud destination processes files under its own policy. Restoration replaces current app records after validation and your confirmation. Test-log sharing sends diagnostic event types, times and details about check-ins, feature use and notifications only when you choose a receiving app; note text and proof photos are excluded. External browser and sharing services apply their own policies.

5. Retention and deletion

Local records remain on the device until you delete them. You can cancel individual check-ins. To remove all local app data, use Android Settings > Apps > Cozymates > Storage > Clear data, or uninstall the app. Android automatic backup is disabled and there is no developer-operated cloud synchronization. Manufacturer-specific device-transfer tools may behave differently. Original photos, saved ZIP backups and diagnostic records already shared elsewhere must be deleted separately. AAA Corp. cannot remotely access, recover or delete your local records. Contact us about access, correction or deletion requests.

6. Advertising, purchases, contact and changes

The current app has no advertisements, in-app purchases or advertising ID collection, and does not sell personal information. If you email us, we process your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send to respond and troubleshoot. These are deleted after handling unless retention is required by applicable law. The operator is AAA Corp.; contact admin@aaa.ai.kr. This policy takes effect on October 30, 2026 and will be updated when data practices change. The general website privacy policy applies separately to this website.

7. Optional weather conversations

Weather conversations are off by default. If you enable them and grant approximate location access, the app checks a regional forecast while you use the app. Latitude and longitude rounded to two decimal places, and the IP address needed for the request, are sent to MET Norway (api.met.no); location is not sent to AAA Corp. servers. Coordinates are not stored in app records or backups. A forecast phrase is used for up to one hour and is not presented as a measurement or evidence of your actions. Weather phrases already used in conversations remain with the local question history and may be included in ZIP backups. Weather opt-in settings and temporary cache are not backed up. There is no background location tracking. Turning the feature off clears the cache and stops new requests; existing weather conversation history can be removed by clearing app data. The app continues with ordinary conversation if permission is denied, a request fails, or a forecast is stale. See MET Norway for its processing terms.
